We offer our prostrated obeisances to His Grace Sankirtan Prabhu, an illustrious, devoted and surrendered disciple of His Holiness Lokanath Swami, having taken shelter of his lotus feet.

Our association with Sankirtan Prabhu began in April 2006, when he was invited by His Holiness Bhakti Brhat Bhagavat Swami, to facilitate the Bhakti Vaibhava Degree in Durban South Africa.  The Bhakti Vaibhava entailed the study of the first 6 cantos of the Srimad Bhagavatam.  Bhakti Brhat Bhagavat Swami introduced Sankirtan Prabhu as ‘a very devotional person’. This was prior to us personally meeting with Sankirtan Prabhu. At our very first meeting, he touched our hearts with his devotion, in the assimilation and presentation of Srimad Bhagavatam.  We greatly appreciated and imbibed his devotional mood of Srimad Bhagavatam.

In the five years that he visited South Africa, we found him to be very knowledgeable, well versed in the philosophy of Krishna consciousness and the Vedic teachings. We had wonderful interactions through his association and expert tutelage, delving into the nectar of Srimad Bhagavatam.

He inspired us with the confidence to present and teach Srimad Bhagavatam and the philosophy of Krishna consciousness.  His classes were dynamic
and people in general who were also exposed to Sankirtan Prabhu’s lectures, were inspired by him and appreciated  his erudite scholarship. His
kirtans and harinams were equally sweet and melodious.

We are blessed to have been in his wonderful association.  Sankirtan Prabhu has etched a deep impression within our hearts. We will sorely miss his
inspiring sanga.  As we bid farewell to Srila Prabhupada’s illustrious grandson – a true jewel of Lokanath Swami, we celebrate in his homeward
bound journey.

Sankirtan Prabhu ki jai!
Hare Krishna!
