Due to our recent endeavours in social cohesion events, we are pleased to announce that we have been invited to lead a prayer vigil for our much-loved former president, Nelson Mandela. As you may be aware, he is currently in a Pretoria hospital for the last five days struggling with a lung infection. Madiba has visited our temple twice, received Srila Prabhupada’s books and even attended our largest Food For Life programme held in the 90’s. We are honoured to offer this service for our “Father of the Nation”. However there are limited seating. Please RSVP: temple@iskcondurban.net

At the Sunday Love Feast His Holiness Partha Sarathi Das Goswami discussed the first twenty-five limbs of devotional service as described by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to Srila Sanatana Gosvami. Maharaja explained: “Festivals are called utsava…and the word utsahan means enthusiastic. Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur describes that by attending festivals like Ratha-yatra or Janmastami, you become enthusiastic.” Over the next two Sunday Love Feasts he will continue to discuss all 64 limbs of devotion.
