Bhakti Theatre Winter Spectacular
Saturday 29 June @5pm
This 2-Hour show is bound to thrill you. The show begins at 5pm sharp, so come in early, grab a seat, order your meal, and get comfortable for an evening of spirit-tainment.
You may want to bring blankets and cushions as the afternoons are chilly. BYS (Bhakti Yoga Society) Cafe will provide light meals, snacks, and drinks. Note that Govinda’s Pizzeria will be open.

5:00pm Thabla & Flute Duo – Veelan and Shyam Krishna!
Their shared passion for Carnatic and Hindustani Classical music gave birth to this collaboration in 2017. This duo works hard to create timeless compositions with a contemporary feel that is unique and yet resonates on a spiritual level. Their sublime vibrations will carry you through a meditative journey. They have been invited to perform at City Hall and on television.
5:30pm Dance by Merilyn Manikam
Merilyn’s dance style is a lovely balance between Tanjore and Kalekstra style of Bharatanatyam.
5:35pm Drama – The Boy Who Lived
A determined 5-year-old boy weaves his own destiny when he decides to leave home due to circumstance. His journey through the wilderness yields a treasure chest of good fortune. This drama is action-packed and filled with dance!

6:15pm Thillana – A Dance by Merilyn Manikam
This dance is crisp and energetic. The rhythmical composition is bound to captivate!
6:25pm Drama – The Messenger
This winter musical marks the journey of Krishna’s cousin, Uddhava. Uddhava is the chosen messenger to Krishna’s beloved friends and family in Vrindavan, who pine in His absence. The plot reveals the essence of beauty, redefines love, and highlights the unique tenderness of Sri Radha.Entry is a minimum donation of R30. Tickets are available at Radhanath’s Gifts and Manilal Ratanjee. All proceeds go to the theatre and the university cultivation programme. Kindly give generously.
